AboutHi, I'm Sarah- a pastry chef, turned graphic designer. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America I spent time working in catering until I realized my favorite aspect of pastry was coming up with the design of desserts and cakes; thinking about things such as color, size, line, etc. Thus began my journey to Chicago where I graduated from Columbia College with my degree in graphic design. My time there instilled in me a newfound appreciation for keyboard shortcuts, grid lines, and breaking design rules.
I have a strong sense of design thinking including an understanding of fundamental principles- typography, layout, color theory, and hierarchy. My work ethic, fast paced learning, and attention to detail combine to solve visual problems both in print and digitally. Now, I am eager to work in an environment centered on visual design for the customer experience.
